This is a picture of me (Talia!) from about 4 years ago. I had just entered remission and I was ready and excited to take on anything else this world had to throw at me. Little did I know that SVOY would be one of my next big trials.

Thankfully I have my amazing co-captain, our incredible team, and all of you backing us. And because of you all, we are pleased to announce that we have reached our first 5,000$! 

The fight isn't over yet, but this is an awesome start. Thank you all and let's keep pushing! 

My Why:

Cancer has touched each of our lives and has stolen precious moments and people that were taken too soon. This disease does not discriminate, so niether should we. We have to fight it with everything we have alongside everyone we can find. I had my own fight with cancer when I was only 12. Back then my fight was just to stay alive, now I fight to make sure others can too. Our goal is a lofty one, but I have no doubt that it is a reachable one. Let's fight for those who cannnot, those who have lost their fights, and to make sure that no one has to fight ever again.

• Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
